Terms of use

These terms apply when you use Fate of Minds, an AI-narrated role-playing game for iOS and Android, and this website. The game has not been released yet. This is a pre-launch version, and it will be updated before the app is published.

Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using the game, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the game. The website can be read without an account. How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy policy.

Who can use the game

You must be at least 16 years old, or older if the law where you live sets a higher age for using a service like this. If you are younger, do not create an account.

Your account

Give accurate information when you sign up and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Write to us at yusufemredogan@fateofminds.com if you think someone else is using it.

You can stop using the game and delete your account at any time. How to do it is on the account deletion page.

Acceptable use

When you play, do not:

• break the law, or use the game to plan or encourage harm to real people;
• harass, threaten or abuse other people, or post hateful content;
• create or share sexual content involving minors, or content that exploits anyone;
• try to cheat the game’s rules, for example by interfering with the dice, the server or the way results are recorded;
• hack, probe, overload or reverse engineer the service, or access it with automated tools that we have not allowed;
• try to make the AI produce content that breaks these terms or the law;
• sell, rent or hand over your account, or use someone else’s account without permission.

Your content and the licence you give us

You keep the rights you have in what you create in the game: your characters, stories, scenarios and the text you write. To run the game for you, you give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display and transmit that content, including by sending your text to the AI providers described in the privacy policy. We use this licence only to provide and secure the game and to enforce these terms. We do not use your content to train AI models without your separate consent, as the privacy policy explains.

You are responsible for your content and promise that you have the right to use it in the game.

AI-generated content

The story is narrated by AI. It is fiction. It can be wrong, inconsistent, surprising or upsetting, and it is not advice of any kind, including medical, legal or financial advice. Do not rely on it for real-world decisions. The game’s rules and the dice are handled by our server, not by the AI.

Moderation

We may use automated tools, including AI, and human review to check content and behaviour. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or the law.

Virtual items and progress

Anything inside the game, such as items, currency, levels, characters and progress, has no real-world monetary value, is not your property, and cannot be exchanged for money or transferred outside the game. It can change as the game develops, and it is deleted with your account.

Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are made through the app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) and are subject to that store’s terms. The store handles billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds under its own rules. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, so cancel it in the store first. Prices and plans are shown in the app store at the time you buy. Your mandatory consumer rights stay in force.

Our property

The game, the website, their software, text, art, design and trademarks belong to us or to our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the game as intended. You may not copy, sell or reuse them beyond that without our written permission.

Third-party services

The game relies on services we do not control, such as AI model providers and app stores. We are not responsible for their terms or for their service being unavailable.

Availability and changes to the service

The game is still in development. Features may change, be added or be removed, and the service may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

Ending your use

You may stop using the game at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the game. The parts of these terms that by their nature should continue, such as those on intellectual property, liability and governing law, continue after your access ends.

Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, the game and the website are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that they will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or goodwill, and our total liability for any claim related to the game is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for intentional wrongdoing or gross negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules that apply to you where you live, and you may use the consumer dispute bodies and courts that are open to you under those rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page is the current one, and its date is at the top. Because this is a pre-launch version, we will update it before the app is published. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies, where we can. If you keep using the game after a change takes effect, the new terms apply to you.

If a part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
